Multi-Prompts using double colon

Written by XEN Create | Jul 24, 2023

With the Midjourney Bot, you can tackle several different ideas at once using double colons (::) as separators. This cool feature lets you highlight specific parts of the prompt, giving you loads of options to customize your images just the way you like them.

Prompt: Cup Cake

Without the two colons (::) in between cup and cake, Midjourney might interpret the prompt as one idea.

Prompt: Cup:: Cake

The double colon (::) serves not only as a separator but also as a way to assign different levels of importance to various elements of the prompt. When the prompt "cup::2 cake::" is used, the resulting image will have a greater emphasis on "cup" compared to "cake."

Here are other examples:

Prompt: Hotdog vs Hot:: Dog

Prompt: rainbow vs rain:: bow

Prompt: city:: forest vs city:: forest::2
