Transform your reference images into prompts

If you have reference images for the image you want to create, you can use them to initiate your image generation in Midjourney. Transform the image into prompts and even adjust and customize it afterward.

Here are two ways to assist you in creating AI-generated photos using a reference image:

Option 1: Use Midjourney's "/describe" Function

1. Open Midjourney and type "/describe" in the command line
2. Upload your reference image and press enter
   
3. Midjourney will generate four prompts from your image
   
   
   
4. Review the results and choose the best one for your project. You may click on button 1, 2, 3 or 4 and customise the prompts to start generating images. You may also generate all of the prompts listed by clicking on the "Imagine All" button

Option 2: Leverage ChatGPT4 for Detailed Descriptions

Inspired by Nick St. Pierre, we explored using reference images to style our AI models.

1. Source an image of curated clothing pieces in Pinterest inspiration
   
   
   
2. Upload the image to ChatGPT4 and request a detailed description of your image
   
   
   
3. Paste the prompt into Midjourney, allowing for further customisation to align with your brand, or you can add more prompts.
   
   
   
4. Check the impressive results of using ChatGPT4 and Midjourney Version 6 together.
